Q7: What is the average speed of cyclists?

The average speed varies a lot since we have cyclists of all levels. On the morning of the departure, several platoons are formed according to the groups of speed specified by the participants during the registration. You must choose a speed group when registering, but there is no problem getting into another group on the morning of the event if you have re-evaluated your abilities. It is not necessary to warn the organization. We ask people to finish the course in a maximum of 6 hours.

Q8: Do I have to have a FQSC license?

The FQSC license is compulsory for all participants in a homologated race as it allows you to benefit from third-party liability insurance and accident insurance during training. For those who participate in several events, it is more advantageous to obtain an annual license, for others, your license is included in the registration fee. When you pick up the participant’s envelope, you will have to sign the on-site license document.

Q9: Can I get the envelope from another Granfondo participant?

Yes it is possible, but you must have on hand the date of birth of the person for whom you come to get the envelope. You will not be able to sign the FQSC license document in its place, the participant must come and sign it in person before departure, which is very IMPORTANT so that this participant is covered by the insurance policy of the event.

Q10: Can I bring a bag with my belongings?

Purolator will be on site to transport your bags from departure to Trois-Rivières until arrival in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures. A bracelet with your participant number will be included in your participant’s envelope, use it to identify your bag. On arrival, the bags will be sorted by number.
